Domain Name Bug

Been meaning to report this but have just been forgetting. Our domain name
has an underscore (’_’) in the middle of it and QNX 6 does not like this.
If for instance it was MYDOMAIN_XX then it would store MYDOMAIN as the
domain name. Can this be fixed? Should it be fixed?

TIA,

Jim

I don’t know the authorative answer but Windows 2000 servers see ‘_’ as an
illegal character and will try and replace it with a ‘.’. It was one of the
root causes of our work LAN not functioning reliably. The same applies with
’ '.

Hmm? We use it on Windows 2000 with no problems. I will definitely make
sure it doesn’t have an underscore in it when we rebuild our network, but
for know and the foreseeable future it will have to stay XXX_XX.
