I’ve got an app that just dumps text lines to a screen in Photon. If I
start up a window and start the program, lines fly by at say 100 lines a
second. If I just move the mouse over the right side and bring up the right
hand shelf, the lines fly by much faster. Wth? What is going on that makes
my stuff run faster if the right shelf is open?
Curious,
Jim
Pointer cam most likely, it rereads and scales the
screen when anything under the mouse pointer changes

The pointer cam displays the enlarged area in a box in the lower right
corner of the right-hand shelf. If you want to turn the pointer cam off
(I find it annoying), click on that box.

Or just remove it from your shelf config like I did.
I agree, it’s annoying.
