Actually we bought QNX 6.1 and BSP for AMD sc520 board, But QNX had
provided only AMD SC 400 BSP to me …
I cant load the IPL into flash now in our board …Do any one know any info
about QNX support to my board …I am left with this problem for the past few
months …To whom should i contact in QNX …My sales person (Local
distributer) is hopeless … There are many groups and how should i contact
hardware support group for getting info about this …?
Is there anyone using AMD Elan SC520 …??

I would suggest contacting QNX technical support directly. I don’t believe
we have anything official for the SC520 … but they may have something
to help out.

Bogdan, please tell more about your BSP for SC520.
I’m interested.
I’ve had one of these boards for a couple of months. I’ve got it booting
from flash using a custom IPL, and a modified copy of the SC400 startup.
The IPL is based on the Start16/Dynamic RAM Sizing and the Embedded CLIB
codekits available on the AMD website. I use the macraigor Raven with Remon
for burning the flash.
The thing now boots and sets up a shell on the serial port.
(BTW I had a lot of problems trying to use the onboard UART, and eventually
gave up and disabled them, now I use the 2 on the SuperIO chip.)
My main problem now is getting the PCI working without the BIOS, since there
seem to be problems with the PCI server on
embedded-x86-booting-from-flash-without-a-BIOS type boards.
I haven’t come across many people doing QNX + SC520, (in fact you’re the
only the second), so I would appreciate any feddback you hear from
elsewhere.
