fs-nfs2 with Xlink NFS server

Greetings-

We’re having a problem with QNX’s NFS client. From a Win2K box, we start
the XLink NFS server to give the QNX box access to a ClearCase VOB. The QNX
box can access the VOB files…for a while. Then, the QNX box hangs.
Looking at the output from pidin, the only thing we see is one of the NFS
threads (a different one each time) pending on a CONDVAR. The only way to
free the hung process is to restart NFS. (The “hung process” is a rather
large and time-consuming build, using QNX’s make facility driving a gcc
compiler; QNX 6.0b, gcc 2.95.2)

Attempts to bulk copy the files for the build is marginally more successful,
however, the copy has also hung on occasion. The only real difference
between the copy and the build is the length of time. The build takes over
15 minutes, the copy takes about 30 seconds.

Any ideas as to how to configure QNX to keep it from hanging, or even to
determine what is causing it to hang, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
jb4

Have you tried the newer version of QNX 6.1A? You could contact your sales
rep to find out about the possibility of getting a newer build, but I’m not
sure it would work with the older 6.0 stuff.
