SMBfsys

Hi,
I use SMBfsys, user_smb and mount_smb to access files on my Windows machine.
After successfully mounting the drive on my QNX machine it does’nt let me
access the files on the mounted partition saying “Permission Denied”. I
will greatly appreciate any help in this matter.

Can you see the contents of the mounted directories?

Check the passwords and group names on the user_smb command lines.

It works for me.

You need to add the qnx smb user to the list of users allow to access your
windows shared directory. This is the problem I had in windows 2000, which
also said ‘permission denied’. Don’t know about other windows versions…

If, after mounting them, you are logged in as root (on the QNX machine)
can you see the files and directories?

Also, is this a QNX4 question? I think that combo was the QNX4
utils, fs-cifs was the QNX6.
