Does telnetd log errors via slogger?
telnetd is exiting on me in an embedded setup
and I was hoping that it would tell me why
via sloginfo?
It writes some stuff to the syslog.

I haven’t seen anything in syslog.
You should have /bin/login and /bin/sh included in your image.
And the telnet client must obviously use VT100, at least I couldn’t get it
working with the standard windows telnet client. I use PuTTY.
