PCCard configuration error

We have a VersaLogic PCM3115 PCCard slot on our PC104 computer here which,
as of yesterday afternoon, simply stopped working with our wireless card
(it’s been working for quite a while though – and we didn’t change the boot
image or hardware). Running ‘pin’ still detects the Orinoco card properly
(which we’ve tested in another QNX machine - so the card is okay) and ‘pin
cis’ even spits out all of the card’s stats. Unfortunately, io-net -d
orinoco … now hangs permanently. Unplugging the card un-hangs it and
slogger spits out something like:

devn-orinoco.so: can’t set CFG_CNF_PORT_TYPE 5a. devn-orinoco.so: can’t
set CFG_CNF_SSID …

and so forth. We’re down to thinking that our PCcard slots (both give the
same result with two different wireless cards) are just fried in some
bizarre way. Does anyone know of a software issue that could be causing
this?

Thanks in advance,
Adam C.

Sounds to me like you PCCard controller has given up the ghost! If it was
working before and suddenly stopped, without anything changing, sounds like
a hardware problem.
