What happened to RCS?

Hello!

We have QNX 6.2 (Momentics PE), which has documentation for RCS (including
ci, co, etc.), but there are no binaries. Has RCS been dropped? What
replaces it?

I would recommend CVS if RCS has gone (or even if it hasn’t). It works
fine on QNX. I think the underlying repository file format is the same
as RCS, although it doesn’t use RCS binaries. See www.cvshome.org

It is on the QNX CDs (maybe 3rd party).

The RCS utility was deprecated in 6.2.1. You can find the CVS utility on the
main CD and learn about CVS in the QNX Neutrino Utilities Reference. To
learn about new, changed, and deprecated utilities, see the “What’s New”
section.

If you’re using the IDE, you can also manage your source using the CVS
Repository Exploring perspective.

Hope this helps,
