System 6.2.1 freezes

I have experienced system 6.2.1 hang several times and I couldn’t figure out
which process has caused the problem. Before it hang, the cpu usage bar
shows 100% used. I managed to run “pidin times” and compare the time of each
process, but they all looks OK. When I run sin in that condition, the system
was totally hang and I can’t do anything except to power off. Can anyone
tell me what to do if it happens again? In QNX 4, I used sac and sin utility
to find out the runaway process. What should I used in Neutrino? Is power
off the only way to get out of this situation or is there any hot key or
special button (panic button!) to bring up a diagnostics or some sort of
tools to analyze this problem?

One way is to always have a high priority shell running. That way something
goes full-on, you can still find out what it is.
