I need to provide a RAID disk drive for data storage on my QNX-based
computer. Can anyone recommend a RAID drive suitable/compatible for use with
QNX4 and QNX6.

We’re using the SentinelRAID 150F on both OS versions. We’ve got something
like 15-18 unites in production… no show stopper problems so far. QNX4
doesn’t like to boot off of SCSI RAID, but QNX6 has no problem. A couple of
the systems are even doing 500Gig each.

Hi Rob,
I assume you use SCSI, not FibreChannel? Do you know if there’s a way to
connect FC RAID to QNX6 box?

Short answer is no… not really.
I have limited experience with QNX 6. My R & D cohorts around here have
much more experience, and if it was readily available & possible, I’m sure
we’d have a system to play with. FC is definitely in our future plans.
However, I don’t even know if there is a FC SCSI driver available for QNX 6?
Writing your own FC SCSI driver without a Fsys DDK could be challenging 
Short of that, I imagine you’d need a RAID Controller with both standard and
FC interfaces… and I haven’t personally explored that possibility. Sorry.
