S3 Virge MX

Hi,

I’ve just installed QRTP on my Compaq Armada 7800. Photon seems to correctly
identify my graphic card (a S3 Virge MX) and lists the VESA modes in
addition. However, it starts in VGA mode. When I try to select any Virge/MX
or VESA modes, Photon crashes and I end up with an unreadable text screen
(the letters are all changed by graphical characters).

Any clue?

TIA

There were a number of bugs in the driver for the Virge MX. These have
been fixed, and the new driver should be available in an upcoming patch
soon.

Oh boy ! Does it fix the problems with the MX on the Toshiba XCDT2545
(which works fine with the Photon 1.14 S3 driver) ?

We did get it working on a Toshiba laptop that contained a Virge MX, but I
do not know the exact model number.

Cool. Good work, I can’t wait to get a hold of it…
