Cant find ptermcs

I need to use pterm with different character sets.
But I cant find ptermcs utility to make *.cs-files.
(QNX 6.0 Patch B).
I saw discussion about it in this newsgroup from 5 Feb 2001.
Is any solution of this problem ?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

I need to use pterm with different character sets.

I have noticed discussion about ptermcs even now as I considered
that old character set files from QNX4 would work somehow: when
I connect it to pterm, it seems to function and accept chars.
Am I wrong?

All in all I’m not able to display the characters properly,
because old localized terminal fonts that I’ve made by hand
don’t work in Photon2. If I don’t go wrong, you might also need
some font to display the things you type in, don’t you? Does
anybody have such a localized font (in particular I need ISO
8859-2 font for displaying Czech) or at least know its structure
so as I could make it myself?

Thanks
Pavel Franc

Hello Nick,

The “ptermcs” utility isn’t currently supported in QNX6.

As a result of this issue, it will be suggested to port this to QNX6 for a future release. If you have the character set files created from an older version you should be able to use them with “pterm”.

Regards,
Dave B.
