Bare metal MicroView Java question...

Reading archives I got an impression that it’s possible to run MicroView
Java application without starting Photon?!
I’m speaking about Intel P3/QNX/J9 environment.

Actually, I’m so entrenched in GUIs, that when I say Bare Metal, I mean, no
platform GUI system (like Photon, Motif, GTK, Qt, etc). We have some Bare
Metal ports of MicroView on QNX (as well as some other OSes >> . To me,
Bare Metal doesn’t rule out QNX … we still use the full OS, just don’t
use
Photon.

My MicroView app works fine under Photon and (sure and obviously) cannot do
any graphics without it…
Q1: Is that possible (is there a mystirious way to change Graphical Mode of
display from Java app), hmmm?
Q2: If Q1 answer is positive - how to do it (or where to look for more
info), please.

This was answered on the ibm.software.vame newsgroup on the
news.software.ibm.com server, since it was duplicated there, and I saw it
there first
