National environment

Is there a way to convert standard photon applications to national
environment? F.g. pwm, pfm, configuration utilities, …
Is there “mkkbd” utility or Czech keyboard definition file?

Hi Jiri,

Which version of RTP are you using RTP 6.X and what patches if any?

For the latest version of RTP 6.1.0 the mkkbd utility is missing from the
installation, this will be corrected in a future release.
As far as I know there is no Czech keyboard definition.

Regards
Brenda

I am not familiar with RTP but in photon for QNX4 there is Slovak
keyboard (very similiar to czech). on QNX4 there is /qnx4/photon/keyboard/
sk_SK_102.kdef, it is easy to change it to cz_CZ_102.kdef, there is
only several modifications and one can create .kbd by mkkdb (in the same
directory). I have changed the slovak keyboard from QWERTZ to QWERTY
(as usual for programmers) succesfully, without problems.

Thanks,
we created Czech keyboard definition using mkkbd from RTP6.X.

Can anybody comment a possibility to convert standard photon applications to
national
environment? F.g. pwm, pfm, configuration utilities, …

Under QNX 4, there is possibility to create e.g. pwm.cz_CZ
in /qnx4/photon/translation/ (see e.g. pwm.de_DE for german version)
Then with defined AGLLANG=cz_CZ you should get Czech version
(Let me know if it works, please)

Thanks, we used this technique in QNX4 too. Probably it work for QNX6.
But how to obtain translation files for standard photon utilities?

Having
AGLLANG=de_DE
AGLPATH=/qnx4/photon/translations
pwm should be in German, I think.
But it doesn’t.
Something is wrong.
