Dual Head in QNX6/Photon

Hello all,
first thing, I wasn’t sure if this was the right newsgroup for QNX6, so
if it’s not, can someone please tell me where I’m supposed to be?
Assuming I am in the right place, can anyone tell me if there are any
Dual head cards that work in QNX6/Photon? I can see that the Matrox
G400, and G450 are supported, but is it safe to assume that both outputs
are supported, or only one?
Is there any others in the list of supported vga that are dual and work
dual?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance,

You are in the right place.

Only one.

Although unsupported, it is possible to have 2 (or even more) video
cards in the same machine. It can be a little tricky to get going,
but if you have the right hardware it works ok.

The problem is getting the right hardware ;-( People have had
good success with ATI card I beleive.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance,

Mario,
So really I’m no better off then I was with QNX4. I still need to find PCI
cards, which are almost impossible to find.
This is a problem my company has had since forever, it was great when 3Dfx was
still around because those cards always worked flawlessly when put together,
but since they got bought it’s becoming impossible to find cards.
When the heck is QNX gonna wake up and start supporting dual head cards. At
this rate I’m gonna have to switch over to Windows, and that’s depressing to
say the least, not to mention a huge hassle.
Thanks anyway,

Does anyone else had any success with two cards? And if so, which ones?

We do plan to support dual-head cards in the future.

Try ATI Xpert 98 PCI, or ATI Xpert 128 PCI available at http://www.shopati.com

Joe

Joe,
Thanks for the help. I’ll buy some and test it out.
By any chance do you know when the future is?

We do plan to support dual-head cards in the future but we cannot give an
exact date/time.
