phindow bug ...pl help!!!

I posted a message couple couple weeks ago regarding Phindow malfunction…
when ctrl_alt_delete is pressed on a Window machine, then all the hot keys
don’t work … someone replied that
this was a bug 8299…can’t recal
the exact #, and its fixed for qnxrtp… Is this bug going to be fixed for
qnx4? if not, is ther a way around it??

Hi Ran,

It is a phindows bug…and not a RTP or QNX4 bug so once the fix is done
for phindows it will work for both RTP and QNX4. This fix should be
available for the next release of phindows.

Someone from qnx did reply to me that phindow for RTP was fixed…anyway,
Can you find out the bug # and when is this going to be fixed for qnx4.25?

Just to clarify the bug , when I phindow from my window NT machine to an Qnx
machine,
If i hit ‘ctr_alt_delete’, then come back, even if I give focus to my
phindow,
all the hot keys in my photon app dont work, it wrks if i use my mouse.

Hi Ran,

You had the bug number correct. The phindows for RTP is also the
phindows for QNX4, so the fix will be available for a future release of
phindows.

quick question: is phindows for qnxrtp free for non-commercial
use? since rtp is free for non-commercial use, it would make sense
to have phindows with the same license.
right now everyone can join phindows beta and get a license.
I am more worrying about what will happen once phindows is official
released and the beta is closed.

Hi Frank,

No phindows is not free for non-commercial use. You have to go through
your sales representative to purchase a license once it is released.

thanks for the clarification. maybe someone should relay this info
to the irc (bill, cdm?). we shouldn’t misguide those users by telling
them to use phindows for remote access, without giving them the
“fineprint” (non-free). if you have to have something free, you
should go something else, like VNC, etc.
