devi-elo

Has anyone seen any problems with devi-elo where the button’s in a
photon app appear to occasionally stick in the pressed position?

In other words, it doesn’t appear to send the disarm event?

A mouse on the same application (hardware and all) doesn’t have the problem.

Rick,

I have seen this occasionally with touch screens and I attributed it to the
fact that the finger rolled the focus point off the button as it was being
released. OTOH I did have some programming problems because I prefer to use
the ARM callback rather than ACTIVATE for touch screens (more intuitive for
the user). If you disable a button when it is armed it sticks in the pressed
position and its logic gets completely screwed.

Ah, but in this case, the screen layout and everything was originally
designed and working in QNX4. We moved it all to QNX6 and noticed this
problem.

So, in other words, from a design point of view, your ideas have merit,
but in this case, I am sure it is not the user, and I don’t want to
redesign something if I can help it. I would rather put the effort into
fixing devi-elo if that is the problem.

Thanks,
Rick…
