Remote Shell from Win2k to QNXRTP

I am using CodeWarrior on Windows2000 and developing QNXRTP applications.
I was wondering if there is a windows utility that provides a remote shell to a
QNXRTP node?
Could I run the telnet daemon on the QNX node and then run Win2k’s telnet, is
that possible?

mk

Of course.

Windows telnetd (might be caled something else) service in the Resourse Kit.

V I think your ‘Of course’ was for down here V

Mixalhs,

Telnet has been built into windows for quite a long time now. You can start it
from a dos-box or the “run” prompt. It is not a very elegant port of telnet but it
will do the job just fine. I use it from Win98 to execute makefiles on the RTP
system.

You mentioned that you are using Code Warrior for RTP development. I was told by a
salesman at QNX that Code Warrior only supports QNX4 only about 3 weeks ago and
that it did not support RTP (QNX6) ((NTO)) etc… am I missing something here ?
How long have you been using Code Warrior with RTP ? That is the reason I am
still editing source code in windows.

I think you have this backwards. Code Warrior only supports Neutrino, not
QNX4.

Yep. Another option is to run “phindows” on your Win2K machine. I’m
running it under WinNT against QNX6 and apart from one small issue
with resizing the shelf it works perfectly. It gives me a 1600x1200
QNX GUI desktop as an application on my NT machine; across the 100Mbit
LAN it’s really very useable.

I think, Yes, because QNX4 was using Watcom tool chain.
