I got a VM from www.embedded.oti.com for QNX and have it running on QNX6.1.
I also downloaded VisualAge Micro Edition and made a few programs that i’ve
run on QNX6.1. My question is:
Is there a Java compiler for QNX6.1?
The only one that I know of is Jikes
http://oss.software.ibm.com/developerworks/opensource/jikes/ from IBM but I
don’t if anyone as compiled it for QNX6.1 yet.
If you want to avoid using Visual Age, you can copy one of the classes.zip
files from the VAME install onto the QNX and then run your program this way
QNX PROMPT>j9 -bp:/somedirectory/classes.zip YourCoolProgramHere
This way you can compile using Sun’s Javac and use whatever IDE that you
want.

If you look on www.qnxstart.com you will find a 6.1 package for
jikes. Works very well!
