Has the interface to/from a filesystem driver been formalized yet in 6.2 ?
Someone wants me to write a device driver for their controller. Weather
it’s been formalized or not, is there a DDK for disk drivers yet?

Is there some release schedule that users can check on when feature “such
and such” is going to be availiable in general?
Or is that information available on a per request basis only?

On per request and ‘need to know basis’. I am not sure why but generally
they guard this kind of information very closely. Traditional explanation
was that they don’t want competitors to know too much about ongoing
development. That might be valid argument, but keeping customers in the dark
is not really good for business either IMHO. Personally I think that being
more open about this would be to their benefit, but they are running their
company so I suppose they know better
