Opening DDK into Momentics IDE...

I want to open an audio ddk into the IDE. What is the best way to do this.
I tried to import the src directory, which does show up in the navigator
perspective but not in the project. I am also assuming that this is why I
can’t build.

Any ideas, help?

TIA,
Kit Plummer

Nevermind…was importing, but not into a fresh project…ugh.

Thanks anyway.

Hi,

I met a similar problem and I requested, july 1st in the qnxrtp.newuser
group, if anyone knows how to do to import a full project (but no answer !).
Let’s see if you’ll be luckier than me

Here is the “crazy” method that I found :
I create a new project (newPrj) in the navigator view (a C project : QNX C
Application project). The newPrj project is automatically opened after the
creation. Then, I delete, for newPrj, all sources files in the Project view.
Don’t close this project !
Select File>import… and import all new sources files from the
filesystem… into the newPrj project (without creating complete folder
structure… Select just *.c and *.h files for a C project). Beware, you
must import sources files directly at the newPrj level (otherwise add an
extra sources directory).
Now, the newPrj is complete, you can rebuild it !
And… It seems that it works…

I hope that will help you !
Good luck,
Best regards,
David.

Hi David,
I’m sorry that you did not get a response from the qnxrtp.newuser newsgroup.
In future, you should have better luck if you post IDE questions to this
group or any of the QNX IDE newsgroups.
There are a lot of newsgroups for us to cover and we tend to focus on our
areas of specialization.

Your solution to the problem is the correct one … as you probably know by
now. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Judy,

Could you tell me if QNX will develop a tool or a filter to open (and/or
convert) a .mcp project file (from Codewarrior IDE) for the QNX IDE
(Momentics) ?
Thanks in advance,

Regards,
David.

Hi David,

We do not currently have plans for importing projects from other IDE
formats.
Since the core IDE is now Open Source, we welcome any efforts to accomplish
this.
Any volunteers?

Check out the Eclipse-cdt newsgroups, if you would like to track the
progress on the core
components that QNX IDE builds upon.

www.eclipse.org/cdt/

In the meantime I will add this to the “Wish List” for the Eclipse CDT Core.
