CVS for NT and QNX Team perspective

I’m using CVS for NT on a remote machine and have setup a repository OK. I
can recover a project from the repository to my local workspace. After
editing when I try and ‘Synchronize with stream’ the IDE, under win2K
reports: Unable to Synchronise ‘Internal Error’ This isn’t all that helpful
!?

I’ve uploaded the latest patches for the IDE. I’ve checked the two items in
the release notes under Ref# 10101

QNX_HOST /usr/bin/vi.exe exists and :
HOMEDRIVE=M:
HOMEPATH=\

Has anyone successfully used QNX 6.2 IDE with CVS for NT v1.11.1.3

It won’t work with the IDE on 6.2.0, it might work with the 6.2.1 release
but it is not supported by QNX or eclipse.org.

The general recommendation is to run your CVS server on a UNIX-esq machine.
Although I totally realize that may not be an option.

Guys,

I’ve had the same problems. My personal solution has been to give up on
the team “feature” and use CVS from the command line in the project
workspace.

It’s not a nice as having an integrated system, but at least it works

CVS can be made to run on a QNX box ‘quite easily’ and then accessed from
the IDE team perspective on a windows machine. I spent a lot of time trying
to get pserver to work but ssh is the way to go.

Guys,

I have bothe a 6.2.1 system set up and a 6.2.0 system, both work fine with
CVS for NT.

The version of CVSNT we are running is 1.11.1.3 build 73.

The only problem that I found was that I am unable to add a project to cvs
from the workspace.

Cheers Ben.

Guys,

I’ve upgraded to 6.2.1, I’ve found that I can now use CVSNT with the
IDE, although I have some issues with paths. (Had to tell CVSNT to use
the full Dos path rather than a “root” path)

FYI: 6.2.1 + CVSNT 1.11.1.3 build 57c works well.

I’ve found that later builds had problems with adding projects, but I’ve
been using this one for a couple of months now, without any issues

Regards

Dave
