Assuming self-hosted, the IDE does a name lookup, and might be timing
out. Try adding your hostname to your /etc/hosts file.
(If not self-hosted, please give host and QNX release info.)

My machine is dhcp as well. I’ve gone and added its host name as
an alias for localhost in /etc/hosts:
127.1 localhost.localdomain localhost laptop dagibbs
You might try that.
