Slow saving of files under the IDE...

…It takes forever to save a file under the IDE when you do the first save
after starting the IDE. I thought the system had locked up at first. Is
this a common problem, or a known configuration issue?

Assuming self-hosted, the IDE does a name lookup, and might be timing
out. Try adding your hostname to your /etc/hosts file.

(If not self-hosted, please give host and QNX release info.)

We’re using DHCP and a router to connect that system to the net. How would
I make a /etc/hosts file entry for that?

My machine is dhcp as well. I’ve gone and added its host name as
an alias for localhost in /etc/hosts:

127.1 localhost.localdomain localhost laptop dagibbs

You might try that.
