I’m trying to port our application to QNX. It has a pile of shared
objects that get linked into a main executable. When I try to load our
project into Momentics, it wants to put things into one big project,
which is absolutely not how I want my projects built.
So: 1) Is there a way to tell Momentics to shut the heck up and just
run a makefile, and debug a program from a specified directory?
- According to my co-worker, whenever you edit a file outside of a
project directory, it makes a copy of that file in the project
directory. Is there some way to stop that?
If I understand you right, you would like to work with sections of your
project separately. So why don’t you check out different sections as a
separate projects and then create one integrating project which links all
binaries from these projects to main executable?
File editing do nothing with project this file belongs to. There are no any
things like those your co-worker scared you. What you cannot do in this
version this is to edit files located out of workspace. It will be changed
in next version of Eclipse.

Is there a time frame for when the next eclipse IDE will be relesed ?
