QNX and Java...

I can compile and run Java from the IDE, but when I run the class file I get
an error saying it can’t find a class or in the file from the IBM runtime on
the command line. What do you have to do to correct this?

You need to have your classpath set to the same value as it is when you launch
it from inside eclipse. The simplest way to see what you need to set it to, is
to run your app from eclipse and (while it is running) type:

pidin -pj9 ar

This will show you exactly how eclipse is invoking your app.

Thanks Rennie,

I’ll try that when I go down to the lab today. Is there any other
Environment variables I should set? Where’s the docs on J9?

The only docs that I am aware of are “j9 -help” and “j9 -X”…

There are docs in the DeviceDeveloper WebSphere edition ( part of which is j9 )
you can get these on http://www-3.ibm.com/software/wireless/wsdd/

Download the 5.5 edition ( 5.6 still has no support for QNX )
