helpviewer

Am I the only one being driven crazy by the Helpviewer’s search
features?

Have you tried ped’s “function finder” widget?

The function finder does not work correctly if you use the this:

int some_function( void )

instead of this:

int
some_function( void )

And yes, the helpviewer… Nope, you’re not the only one
(Oh, what features?)

But the documentation itself is very good, or at least way better than
anything I worked with before.

Aye-the one that really bugs me is that you can’t search for
a substring like you could under Photon 1.14’s help.
e.g. finding thread in pthread. To use substrings you have
to know the start of the word being searched for…

When printing a help document to the printer, Helpviewer (and Voyager
both) seem to be willing to print the top half of a line on one page
and the bottom half of a line on the second page.

It’s real difficult (and annoying) to read something when you have to
hold the two pages together to see what the line looks like. (Not to
mendtion, not very professional looking.)
