VNC dead in 6.1

Hi. I downloaded the VNC viewer from Nexware´s repository, but I get a
memory dump under 6.1.

Annyone doing a new port for 6.1?

I recall reading somewhere that once you download 6.1, you have
to recompile everything. I’m curious to know how packager
can be set up to get you the right executables.

Fredrik,
What kind of error are you getting? I just did a clean install of 6.1.
Then I downloaded all the packages from the Nexware repository and VNC
worked for me to a local Linux box.

Hi, I have a fresh 6.1 setup on my Toshiba laptop .
Tried again & I still get:

“Memory fault (core dumped)”

Core is 1,98 MB (2 076 672 bytes) an placed under /var/dumps/

Also it looks like I loose my net connection after the dump. I´ll
investigate more and get back!

Best regards
Fredrik

I had that problem here with QNX6.1 because my box ran out of memory. I shut
down a few programs and it was working fine.
So check your memory usage.
Also, just checking but do you specify the IPaddress after you vncviewer?
ie QNX PROMPT>vncviewer.ph SOMEIPADDRESS
If you forget the IP address, it will also give you a “Memory fault (core
dumped)”.
Hope this helps.
