problems with voyager

hello there!

i have installed my qnx os (version 6.1.0) and all works fine! also my
network card.
but when i try to browse the internet with voyager, he read the source but
show me nothing. and he has a hang when i use the menu buttons.

i have a nvidia ge-force 2 graphics card, a pentium III 500mhz PC.

has anyone here the same problem?

thanx for advice.
greetings : pascal

hi

when i open voyager, i can see the html source in the source viewer, so i
know that voyager loads all pages - but he doesnt show me anything - only a
blank screen. the QNX Logo is still in the middle of the screen and when i
use my mousepointer i can see there are links on the page - but its all
invisible!
voyager shows me only a blank window…

please help me - is this a SW Bug and are there any workarounds to manage
that problem ?

thanks - pascal

Hello,

I´m not sure I totally understand your question. Are you able to get any
pages to load at all? If not, are you able to view any help using the
Helpviewer?

Regards,
Dave B.

Hi Pascal,

There was a known bug in the devg-tnt.so driver involving offscreen
memory (affecting voyager). This will be fixed in the next release.

Also please don’t cross post, otherwise we will send Dave the cross
poster stomper after you.

Hi Pascal,

There was a known bug in the devg-tnt.so driver involving offscreen
memory (affecting voyager). This will be fixed in the next release.

this sounds perfect  since I discovered the exactly same effect when
using
the devg-tnt.so driver for my nvidia geforce 2mx400 based gfx card.

Do I have to wait until the next fix will be released or is the updated
tnt.so driver
available for a separate download ?!

Thanks,
Jochen

Hi,

We will make the new devg-tnt.so available on developers.qnx.com.
Check there in the next few days for it.

Regards,

Joe

Hi Joe,

thanks
i’ve just downloaded the devg-tnt.so (23.Nov, 70.584 Bytes in size) and
gave it a try.
Sadly this release doesn’t work :frowning:
→ everthing seems to be ok except the Voyager display
My graphic card is a Hercules gladiac 511, 64meg, nvidia geforce II 400mx

I followed the install instruction provided:

  1. Copy devg-tnt.so to /lib/dll.
  2. crttrap clear
  3. ph

please email me if you need more detailed information about my hw setup

Jochen
