1.44 MB demo with QNX 6 ?

It’s quite hard to impress people with QNX 6 when they previously have seen
the 1,44 MB demo disk (which bases on QNX 4). Downloading 30 MB instead of
1,44 MB - can it do that many times more? And don’t we read everywhere that
QNX Neutrino is so much more efficient than QNX4, with much more shared
objects and so on?

So, I really wonder if a 1,44 MB demo version of QNX 6 would be possible…

It’s probably is possible but I beleive more challenging then with QNX6.
Photon seems to have grown bigger because of all the new features.

Unfortunately I beleive QSSL have more pressing issue to address.

I actually think that it would be easier with QNX6 than with QNX4, but
it would still take a lot of time that no one (more than likely) has…

On the otherhand, the 6.1 CD can be run from many systems without hitting the hard drive and is a pretty good demo of 6.1.

Regarding 1.44 MB demo disk,

We are looking to producing a new demo disk which will likely include
documentation on how to create your own custom demo disk. Regrettably, I
can’t give you any timelines or comment on what will exactly be included on
the disk.

Thanks,
