I do understand that the “War” thread might not be appropriate to this
newsgroup. (I was waiting for QSSL to make a statment, one way or the
other, and took silence as tacit assent). Now that QSSL has indicated
that the thread is not appropriate in this newsgroup, I will be abiding
by their request - It is their newsgroup, after all - hosted on their
server!
It would be nice (although completely up to QSSL, of course) to have a
newsgroup where we can discuss the wide-ranging topics we have been
covering.
And before you say: “Well, look at the alt.philosophy newsgroups”, I just
want to add that I would not have sent these posts to nameless, faceless
strangers. Almost all of the posters in this thread are people that I
have come to know to some extent, and I feel that I am talking to
persons, and not “just a crowd of people”.
I have met and can relate to most of the posters here.
I have been debating in a “circle of friends” kind of atmosphere (even if
we do not agree on our conclusions).
There has been very little (if any) rancor, and we have for the most part
just agreed to disagree, while gaining some more insight into the minds
of those we are debating with…
Just my $0.02 (CDN)

I’ve never missed a post. Read them all religiously. Oops, make that
diligently.

Ok

I’d like a clearification. Is that a personal request Steve, or are
you state the position of QSSL?

It’s a personal request. I scan all of the QNX newsgroups, looking for
feedback on the documentation and things that should be documented, and
generally tyring to keep track of the development of QNX 6. If I wanted
to discuss war, I’d subscribe to an appropriate newsgroup.

Note: I don’t intend to discuss this further, for fear that this thread
will go on for far too long as well.
