It’s always the same game: announced newsgroups doesn’t appear … non
announced new newsgroup popup quietly

Works for me… I access it via “inn.qnx.com”. Make sure of several things,
that you don’t already have it in your .newsrc file as “unsubscribed” (try
“y” from tin to “yank” in all groups. Also, make sure that your tin is
started without the “quick” option – this prevents you receiving notification
of new groups…
