Photon crashes when I try to load a project

Hello.

I have just recently had a problem with using Photon to work on an
existing project. I had previously updated the OS and stuff using the
June 2000 QNX Product Suite and when I opened the project the first time
after this, I was able to do my work. I generated and saved the code
several times and everything seemed to be normal - I closed it and went
home. The next day I tried to open it again but appbuilder would
SIGSEGV at address 0007:00280848. I have attached the dumpfile - if
someone at QNX would be able to tell me where in PhAB it is crashing, I
would be very grateful. I tried to look at the dumpfile myself with wd
but the point of failure is somewhere that I can’t comprehend. If you
need anymore information, please ask away.

The dumpfile is very large - if one of the QNX people will direct me
where to send it, I will do so. I don’t think putting a ~4MB dumpfile
on the newsgroup would be received kindly! :slight_smile:

I also encountered problem of PhAB’s failures:

(1) When use pixmap editor or pallette color selector, and the picture is a
bit bigger,
PhAB often crashes by unknown reasons.

(2) When I delete a widget from an application, run “generate code”, check
the code,
The callback function attached with that deleted widget still exist.
Remember that I
already deleted that callback function from the code before running
“generate code”.

(3) The suggestions for your problem:

Create a new application
“Try” import PhAB modular (wgt ) from your old application into the
new one
Build it again
