Calibration problems

Hello.

I am running Photon 1.14 and QNX 4.25 on an Industiral PC using an ELO
Touchscreen. When I run ACALIB, I hit the targets but the touchscreen
doesn’t calibrate correctly. The mouse skips all over the place.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Bill

Out of curiousity, what are the contents of /etc/config/trap/input.1 and /etc/config/absf/absf.1 on your machine? Are you using inputtrap?

I remember there was a problem, that the input driver didn’t switch the
serial device into raw mode, but it leaves e.g. +crnl on.

We used to switch all these modifiers of with the stty utility, after
Input was running …

Hi

Does the calibration work while acalib is running then go wrong when you
reboot ?
Or doesn’t acalib seem to work correctly ?

I’ve had quite a bit of trouble with what may be the same
problem. I have two almost identical looking Viewsonic flat
panel smartset touch screens. The difference is that the
axes are switched. Acalib should account for this and
fix it, but it only works properly on one. I’ve reported
this and it’s on someones list. I found a kludgy way
to fix it. Edit the file /etc/config/absf/absf.# after
using acalib. Change the last parameter from a 0 to 1 and
restart the driver. See if this works.
