After updating to Photon 1.14A Photon starts up with a grey desktop.
Mouse is working, The PWM Start menu is accessible, but selecting any of
its entries (Desktop Manager, Shell,…) has no effect. It seems it can’t
find pdm, though it is in /qnx/photon/bin. After shutting down Photon it
shows the line “Could not access Photon server”.
What the hell happened? Everything worked well before.

Likely your pdm.cfg file got corrupted.
There will be an entry in the knowledge base for this.
