Pg.rage - any screen resolution, -M option

Hi,

we are trying to use an unusual screen resolution of 1364x1224x8 pixel. We changed the parameter for Pg.rage in the crt trap file and it works except for some horizontal, flashing lines when moving windows around. In this connection the -M option seems to be important. The use message for Pg.rage states that -M will optimize for monochrome display. This is obviously not the case. So the questions are:

  1. Is it possible to have any screen resolution with Pg.rage?
  2. What for is the Pg.rage -M 0xHHH option.

FYI: We use an ATI Rage Pro and photon 1.13.

TIA

Hi Peter,

  1. Is it possible to have any screen resolution with Pg.rage?

No, Pg.rage uses the video BIOS to set the mode, so only resolutions supported by the video
BIOS can be used.

  1. What for is the Pg.rage -M 0xHHH option.

The -M option is the mode number used by the video BIOS to set the video mode.

Joe
