Phindows in full screen mode

I’m trying to use phindows 1.20 in full screen mode using the option -k
(kiosk) in a windows NT system running in 640x480. My app in photon uses
full 640x480 and I need the the phindows window in full screen 640x480. The
problem is that phindows keeps the window header even in kiosk mode, leaving
me with less than 640x480.
How can I do that?

Thanks,

Hello Leonel

I’m afraid that using that option will not have the desired affect that you
are looking for. It was meant to work with a different version of Windows and
it may behave strangely on WindowsNT. An example of this is that if you are
running in kiosk mode then phindows may appear to lock up. This because the window is
force front and collecting all key events, so if another force front window pops up,
it will pop up behind the phindows window and it may cause the system to wait until
it goes away.

A way around this is to resize the window to the maximum screen size using the
resize handles ( not the maximize button, or this won’t work ) and then move it
up so that the title bar is of the screen. Then you can pull down the bottom
resize handle so that the phindows window takes up the whole screen with no titlebar.

Thanks
Rodney

Hello Rodney,

Thanks for your attention. Unfortunately the way around you suggested won’t
work. The point is that I need a way to put phindows in full screen mode
automatically because it will be used in a dedicated system where the user
won’t access any other windows program. I will start phwindows running my
app automatically and I don’t want to give the user the possibility to
resize or move the phindows window. I’ve tried the kiosk mode in windows 98
with the same results. Do you have any other idea?

TIA,

Leonel
