Phindows fonts

Is there any QNX or third party solution for additional .phf font
files? Since Phindows does not support scalable fonts, I was looking
for a Helvetica type font to fill in the gaps (i.e. 16, 20 point and <24
point like 32, 36 and 48 point). I am willing to pay a nominal fee for
the larger fonts.

HI Matt,

There will be a new phrelay for QNX4 that will contain a workaround for
this, it will be available for a future release/patch.

I assume that this patch will not be available in the next few weeks. I need
a solution now, otherwise I will need to painfully change all scalable fonts
in my existing application to supported Helvetica font sizes which stop at 24
point.
Are you sure there are not other font sizes available for Helvetica like 36
point??
Please advise…

Hi Matt

You could try using the utility bdf_2_phf it should be found in the
/qnx4/photon/bin directory. This will convert bdf fonts to phf fonts.
You will just have to find a bdf version of the font that your looking
for.
The bdf font is a one type of X fonts.

Hope this helps
Regards
Brenda
