phshutdown

Would I not need the source code for turning off the flags? Where can I find
the source code for phshutdown?

Thanks,
Krupa

I don’t know about shutting down, we do ours with a system(“shutdown -f”)
call and don’t care about the display, as we always restart. But I can
answer the window question!

To get rid of the title etc, turn off some of the render flags in the
window
you won’t have the title etc. You probably need to turn off title,
border,
min, max at the least.

Hope that helps

I’m having the same problem. I have a device with no keyboard or mouse
and
I’d like to create an icon in the desktop manager that a user could
press
to
shut the entire system down.

I’ve tried creating an icon and calling phshutdown but it doesn’t shut
down
gracefully and the fact that there is that border around it that says
“my
application” makes our device look unprofessional.

Does anyone have any ideas???

Thanks in Advance

Hi,

I am having problems exiting Photon 1.13 properly on my system. I am
going
to try to perform a proper shutdown from photon. (Note: I am using
QNX
4.25.) When I issue the “phshutdown” command it does not seem to be
as
detailed as if I could issue the “shutdown -b” from outside of photon.
The
documentation is available for QNX 6 but it seems be different than
what
I
experience using QNX 4.25.

Any ideas.

Thanks,

Paul

Why not do your own application that calls ‘shutdown’ instead of
‘phshutdown’.

If the applications running on QNX computer are using photon, should I not
make use of phshutdown instead of shutdown?

What is the difference between ‘phshutdown’ and ‘shutdown’?

If Photon application makes use of ‘shutdown’ to shutdown the computer, is
any file corruption likely ???

Thanks,
Krupa
