Can't find Phindows 2.0 Beta

per a previous message:

The Phindows 2.0 beta has been released and is on our website.
Try it
out and let me know if it fixes your problem with the scaled font.

Thanks
Rodney

I looked in the QNX4Beta and PhotonBeta and cant seem to find this. I
need to know the “improvements” from Phindows1.2 to 2.0 and will this
run under QNX4? Also, where is this new phrelay (beta) to fix these
font issues. Is the phrelay -T option and #of retries only on initial
startup? I need to know if the phrelay connection is lost (i.e. someone
pulled the TCP/IP network connection) sooner than what appears to be 120
second “heartbeat” timeout.
I am still looking for a solution for a non-phf font support. I am
trying to display helvetica 36 point. Maybe somebody point me to an X
font of helvetica 36 point to use bdf_2_phf??

Don’t know about fonts issue but phindows 2.0 beta works fine with QNX 4.25D

  • Photon 1.14C. Tested.

It looks like Phindows 2.0 is out. To my knowledge all 2.0 feature are
related
to Photon 2 (QNX6).

Now it seems easier to edit own 36 point phf font
(see Editing fonts thread).

Andy,
What do you mean easier to edit (i did read the editing fonts thread)? I
looked real quick on the web and didn’t stumble across any helvetica 36 point
bdf files that i could use the bdf_2_phf utility?

I haven’t stumbled on helvetica 36 point bdf file too.
And I know surely that also with Phindows 2.0 you need phf fonts.
So if it is inevitable to use Phindows, you can create
the required phf font by yourself. Now it is not so difficult,
because you can use Derek’s editor from ‘Editing fonts thread’.
I estimated one day for adjustment of Derek’s program and
at four hours for editing. It is not a smart solution but
sometimes better than endless looking for a smart solution.
Good luck!
