Photon 1.14 and ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

Hi,
do not has somebody experiences with QNX 4.25, Photon 1.14 and VGA card ATI
Mobility Radeon 7500 ?
I wonder if the Photon is able to work with that card with “native” driver
or with some “flat” driver with reasonable speed in resolution 1027x768 at
least 15 bit colors.

Hi Stepan,

We do not have a driver for Radeon chipsets under Photon 1.14. It may
work with one of the generic unaccelerated drivers, but we have not had
a system with that chipset to try so we cannot say for sure.

I have had some success with ATI Radeon 7000 PCI and flat (generic)drivers. I can’t say I tested all modes, but
certainly some hires and hi color modes worked ok. No acceleration though, which seems like a waste…
Maybe this is similar to the Mobility 7500, and you can give it a shot. Let us know how it goes.
