phindows

I’m not sure if this the right place to ask but I will anyway. I have a
IBM Thinkpad A20M laptop. For my job, I use Phindows on there. I had
to tweak the onboard modem for another application. Since then, for me
to use phindows and connect above 9600 baud, I have to connect to a
regular dialup connection. Anyhelp is appreciated.

Hello Shawn

Can you elaborate on this a little bit? What where you doing before and
what do you have to do now. Can you give me a step by step information?

Thanks,
Rodney

I have always used this laptop (ibm thinkpad A21m win2000) for Phindows and
prior to programing some modems I was able to connect to a qnx computer at a
good baud rate. After I had accidently made some changes to my modem on
board, which I put back to the orginal configuration, now I have to dial into
my dialup isp prior to using phindows to dial onto a qnx pc to establish a
baud rate over 9600. I have done everything in windows I can think of to make
sure the baud rate is set to 56k like it was. I have also reinstalled
Phindows. I am hoping that maybe there is something I missed or some setting
for Phindows I’m not aware of. Thanks for your help

Hi Shawn.

I guess you should change the default com port baud rate (control
panel->system->hardware->device manager->communication port->
properties->port settings) or try to use the -b parameter of phindows.

Leonel.
