Mouse problem in QNX4.24/Photon 1.11&1.12

I have been asked to make modifications to an older system I last worked on
2 years ago. I have had a problem getting the development system (same
hardware in a desktop rack) working with a mouse. The system is

Hardware Ziatech 8908 CPU board
OS QNX 4.24
Photon 1.12 (I have also tried 1.11 with similiar results)

Mouse Problem
Either inputtrap (therefore Input) does not recognise the mouse OR the
mouse is recognised but in photon the mouse pointer only moves horizontally
properly. It will move some vertically in response to mouse movement but
immeduitely snaps back to original vertical position about 1/3 from bottom
of screen.

I have tried four mice - all work on linux, MS-DOS and various flavors of MS
Windows.
logitech 3 button with wheel (this is the only mouse recognised)
microsoft 2 button mouse
no-name 2 button mouse
no-name 3 button mouse with wheel

On the actual machine the CPU board works correctly. This machine has an
standard 3 button logitech mouse.

Any help would be appreciated.

ps my next move is to try the “non-working” mice on the target machine.

Jim
