LCD Refresh rate

Hello!

I have met some kind of problem with LCD Monitors.

It concerns resolution & refresh rate the LCD Monitor autodetects.

The main problem is that my Monitor forgets it’s settings and
I have to tune it manually after powering on or switching from
text to graphic mode to get acceptable pictures :frowning:

Here is the table we’ve found out. It’s rather stable and remains when
we change Monitor’s model or vendor, videocards.

When set → Monitor detects
1280x1024@ 69Hz → 1280x1024@ 68.9Hz

1152x864 @ 75Hz → 1152x870 @ 74.6Hz !!!
1152x864 @ 70Hz → 1152x864 @ 69.8Hz

1024x768 @ 76Hz → 1280x768 @ 75.8Hz !!!
1024x768 @ 75Hz → 1280x768 @ 74.6Hz !!!
1024x768 @ 61Hz → 1024x768 @ 60.7Hz
1024x768 @ 60Hz → 1024x768 @ 60Hz

Let me note, that the M$ Win drivers set exact refresh rate &
the tuning is not in need.

Is it possible to check video driver mathematics for its accuracy
concerning the problem?

Thanks

Must I explain the problem in some other words?

Hello!

We’re aware of this problem. We plan to have it fixed in
QNX 6.3. It will probably be fixed in QNX4 at some point,
but I can’t say when.
