openssh 3.2.3p1

I just compiled openssh 3.2.3p1 for qnx 6.1 and put it on
the openqnx site.
I included the “logout hang” patch, so if you are tired of
this problem, this would be a good opportunity to upgrade.

to install:
su
cd /
tar zxvf openssh-3.2.3p1-qnx6-bin.tar.gz
/openssh-setup

Frank

FYI - There is a 3.2.3p1 package in my 6.2 repository (which will be
part of the 6.2 release)

http://qnx.wox.org/repository/6.2/

This also has the logout issues resolved (although I couldn’t find the
patch so I used gdb to find the 4 lines of code to add to sshd’s logic).
It also has an ssh-rand-helper that uses /dev/random instead of lots of
external utilities. I assume Frank built his with xauth support, but I
know I did.

Chris, you’ve been doing a great job for the upcoming qnx 6.2!

“ssh-rand-helper”?
I thought you only need it if your OS doesn’t have the /dev/random
support.
Here is a note from the “INSTALL”
NB. If you operating system supports /dev/random, you should configure
OpenSSL to use it. OpenSSH relies on OpenSSL’s direct support of
/dev/random. If you don’t you will have to rely on ssh-rand-helper, which
is inferior to a good kernel-based solution.

so, my ssh port doesn’t have “ssh-rand-helper”.

Yes, I did.
Being an X user, that is the first thing I found in your old openssh
package for 6.1 :slight_smile:

Excellent! You found a bug in my openssl package. Now fixed. I will
be re-packaging openssh again so it doesn’t need the rand helper either.
