RTC Group Conference in Phoenix

I just saw from the QNX web page that there’s a RTC Group Conference in
Phoenix on Feb 25, 2003 at:
The Phoenix Sheraton Cresent Hotel
2620 W. Dunlap Ave.
Phoenix, AZ 85021
1-(602) 943-8200

Since that’s where I am right now, I’ll be there. If anyone else is
planning on attending, drop me an e-mail and maybe we can hook up for
lunch or other.

P.S. The phone number is for the hotel. To register for the conference
call 1-(800) 755-7380.

For anyone that cares: I didn’t find anythig earth-shatteringly new at
the RTC Conference. I was able to educate myself a little on some new
technologies. I confirmed for myself why I still love QNX over the
other guys.

I had to chuckle though. QNX was having a bad day. FedUp screwed up
the delivery of their booth. So they had some brochures on a table but
no booth. I had to actually ask where they were located to find them.

When they were to give their seminar the room they were supposed to be
in was locked right up to the minute it was supposed to start. Hotel
staff had to go unlock it.

Still the talk was informative. I learned more about the High
Availability Toolkit and the Instrumented Kernel. Both look like very
useful tools. I wish I had the money to afford them. As it stands, if
I didn’t get a free lunch out of the deal I wouldn’t have been able to
afford going to the conference at all.
