Qnx2 ISA bus Ethernet Card?

Does anyone know of any suppliers of ISA based Ethernet cards for Qnx2,
other than the one in Germany?

Thanks,
ms…

Did a search on the Knowledge base at
http://support.qnx.com/support/bok/index.html
choosing QNX2 as the OS and ISA in the search and came up with

Connectivity Protocols and Network Cards for QNX2 at the url
http://support.qnx.com/support/bok/solution.qnx?919

I am not familiar with “the one in Germany”, could you elaborate?

Thanks,
Chris

Strangely this question doesn’t seem to mean anything. There is
not QNET support for QNX2 over Ethernet unless you purchased QSSL’s
port package and wrote your own drivers.

The only other use for an Ethernet card would be TCP/IP support.
The original TCP/IP support was with a proprietary card that is
no longer available. Later QSSL hired a 3rd party to provide
TCP/IP over some standard Ethernet cards, but the package was
never officially released. So the only current TCP/IP support
comes from “the one in Germany”.

Now if you plan to do your own custom drivers and have some
other purpose in mind, you can use any ISA card that you
have specifications for. The most common are NE2000
compatible.

The “one in Germany” comes from SWD, look at
http://www.swd.de/products/datasheets/k01_en.html

Earlier NEC2000 was the supported ISA/PCI cards, today I don’t know.
There even was a chance to boot via Ethernet.

I don’t think so, we have a 10/100Mbps PCI solution too.

I still have some cards from FastTech laying around somewhere.

This guys (FastTech) used some utterly expensive ISA ethernet cards to
provide some crude TCP/IP functionality to QNX2. They then charged insane
amounts of money for the telnet and ftp programs. Insane as we were we
bought a bunch of cards and drivers for a project many many years ago,
eventually the project migrated to QNX4 and later to WindowsNT so we
collected the old ethernet cards. I must have a a dozen of them.

If you are also insane I can sell them to you for an insane amount of money

Gabriel

this is a very uncomplet version of TCP/IP. We sold it many years
ago too.
Since 1996 we sell a very compl TCP/IP version for 10Mbps ISA
and 100Mbps PCI for QNX2.
