qnx 2 hardcard

hello everybody,
could it be, that qnx works with hard cards different to dos or windows ?
got a quantum hard card, 210 MB
if i modify the bios like written on the disk it doesnt work
hard card says 723 cyl 15 hd and 38 sectors,
but it works with biosparameter 873 cyl 13hd 36st LZ872 wp none
???
can anybody help me ??

please be aware that qnx2 doesn’t support ata devices with lba from default
software. there is a newer disk.ata driver available from /usr/free2 that
could help you.

if the disk is assuming lba and you can’t turn this off then you will likely
need to use the disk.ata driver (donated by a gracious qnx2 consultant

Actually it was a three way agreement between QSSL, me and
the company that paid me that made this driver available.
Hopefully you are not using a 8+Gig disk for which disk.ata
will probably fail. I’ve never heard of an EIDE drive that
was LBA only, however you might lose a substantial number of
sectors.
