I’m having trouble printing in phindows .Nothing happens .Yet all my
other
windows print apps works fine. Isn’t it supposed to take the default
print
device as the print output ? There is mention of it in the knowledge
base
but due to a web page screw up it doesn’t show the solution.
The knowledge base entry that you are looking for concerning printing I have
included the posted answer below…
Hope it helps.

Issue 8: Is it possible for Phindows to use the MS client node’s printers
and printer spoolers?
There’s no seamless, “just works” way, but depending on how you have things
set up,
there are two workarounds to consider.
Assuming the MS printer driver needs a file to be placed in a
given directory in order
for it to be sent for printing, you could access those
directories over TCP/IP using SMB
or NFS. See the TCP/IP manuals for details.
If the printer is a standalone one with its own IP address, you
can also use TCP/IP from
the QNX node acting as a Phindows server to send files. This is
also detailed in the
TCP/IP manuals.
The reason that there is no easy way for this to happen is that it would
need a complete redesign to
the Photon architecture to make it possible for Photon to work with more
than a remote video display
(which is basically all that Phindows is).
