can't find ar

i’m trying to compile various applications but most of the compilation
scripts seem to need a program called ar which doesn;t seem to be on my
system, although it is in the RTP documentation.

ar seems to be part of binutils, which i found in the gnu directory on
ftp.qnx.com. unfortunately i can;t get the compilation of binutils to
complete without ar. chicken and egg situation.

any help much appreciated.

thanks

andrew

Are you sure? It’s on my RtP box, in /usr/bin/ar.
