QNX Embedded System Programmer required in Brisbane

Web-Tech is a Brisbane based company who manufactures weighing equipment
for all aspects of industry. To keep our company at the forefront of
modern industry, we have recently commissioned the design of a new
controller for our equipment. Intellidesign Pty Ltd have designed and
tested the hardware to a sufficient level, and now we are seeking an
embedded systems engineer to work on the advanced software and
peripherals for the system.

A basic specification for the hardware is attached to this email for
your perusal. The system has a QNX Neutrino operating system, with the
source code in C / C++. An advanced version of the system uses Photon
and PHAB to interface to a ΒΌ VGA screen. An FPGA interfaces all of the
embedded I/O devices to controller. We eventually wish to replace the
QNX OS with Linux or another free to use OS.

The engineer we are seeking will be able to write software for the
current hardware, and possibly implement minor FPGA changes. Hardware
experience would also be highly regarded, as we will require expansion
devices to be constructed to attach to the PC-104 expansion header. The
header is an industry standard header, for which there existing products
available, which we would wish to interface to.

As this device will be used in modern factories throughout the world,
knowledge of or experience in industrial communications systems and
other industrial procedures would be highly regarded.

Web-Tech can provide the hardware required for the engineer to program
the system in-house at our Eight Mile Plains factory if required.

If you wish to express interest in this tender, please contact Scott
Critchley or Kevin Webster at Web-Tech as soon as possible.
